The short answer
Two quotations can only be compared if dimensions, storeys, flooring, railing and scope of supply match. A low balcony price says little if structural design, foundations, delivery or installation are not included. So compare the scope of supply first and only then the price.
Items to check in every quotation
| Item | Question to ask the quotation |
|---|---|
| Structure | Which dimensions and how many storeys are offered? |
| Flooring | Which surface is included (for example WPC or aluminium) and with which build-up for water drainage? |
| Railing | Which variant (bar, flat bar, sheet, glass) and which colour? |
| Staircase and extra options | Are they in the price, or extra? |
| Delivery | Is delivery included, and with what lead time? At NOVODACH it is usually 8–11 weeks after approval |
| Structural design | Is the structural calculation included? At NOVODACH it is an optional service agreed separately |
| Building permit | Is support offered, and at what price? |
| Survey and foundations | Who does this, and is it in the price? |
| Installation | Self-assembly or installation by partner companies, and what of it is included? |
| VAT | Is the price stated gross or net? |
Forming the price per square metre correctly
For one storey the area is width × depth: a 4 × 2 m balcony has 8 m². Divide the price of the concrete configuration by that area and you get a comparison value. It applies only to this specification and scope of supply. It cannot be transferred to other sizes or specifications.
Using the configurator for comparison
Configure the same dimensions and the same specification you are quoted in other offers and compare the displayed price with the stated scope of supply: 3D configurator. An overview of what determines the price is available at Add-on balcony costs and prices.
Next step
Define your desired configuration and record the scope of supply in writing before you compare quotations: Calculate the balcony price.
General information for orientation. The price in the configurator or quotation and the scope of supply stated there are decisive.
